Amsterdam Manager Operations

Apply now

Take Ownership. Build the Team.

‍

At JetSupport, we don’t believe great operations are built on procedures alone. They are built by people who take responsibility, make decisions, develop their teams and keep looking for ways to do things better.

We are looking for a Manager Operations who wants more than managing daily activities: someone who wants to lead an operation, build a strong team and make a measurable impact on our business.

‍

The Role

‍

As Manager Operations at Amsterdam Schiphol (EHAM), you take responsibility for the daily performance of our maintenance operations at Schiphol, Oberpfaffenhofen, Nice and beyond. You lead a diverse team of aviation professionals, including team leads, MCC, stores, cleaning and supporting operational functions.

Your challenge: create an environment where people can perform at their best, customers receive outstanding service, and operational excellence translates into sustainable business results. You report directly to our Maintenance Manager and work closely with our leadership team.

‍

What You’ll Do

‍

  • Lead the operation: take ownership of daily operations and make sure maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and effectively. Set clear priorities, responsibilities and decision-making processes.
  • Keep building a winning team: coach and develop your team leads and supervisors. Create an environment where people take ownership, collaborate and grow, and build a culture where accountability and a healthy work-life balance go hand in hand.
  • Drive performance: improve productivity, resource utilisation, planning and operational efficiency. Turn operational information into meaningful actions and measurable improvements.
  • Own the customer experience: understand what our customers need, manage expectations and make sure we deliver on our commitments. Be the person who turns operational challenges into solutions.
  • Shape the future: challenge existing ways of working, introduce smarter processes and contribute to our digitalisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

‍

What You Bring

‍

We are looking for a natural leader with a strong operational mindset and the confidence to make decisions. You probably recognise yourself in the following:

  • Proven experience leading operational teams in aviation MRO.
  • You know how to balance safety, quality, customer expectations and commercial performance.
  • You enjoy developing people and building strong teams rather than solving everything yourself.
  • You are comfortable making decisions, setting priorities and taking responsibility for results.
  • A practical, hands-on mentality, without getting trapped in daily firefighting.
  • You understand that improving productivity is about smarter organisation, not simply asking people to work harder.
  • You communicate clearly, challenge the team constructively and know how to bring people along with change.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
  • Experience with EASA Part-145 is highly valued, but leadership, ownership and the ability to build an effective organisation are equally important to us.

‍

What Makes This Role Different

‍

This is not a position where you simply maintain the status quo. JetSupport is evolving: we are strengthening our leadership structure, investing in our people and modernising the way we operate. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Take genuine ownership of a substantial aviation operation.
  • Build and develop your own operational leadership team.
  • Influence how we organise and deliver maintenance services.
  • Work in a dynamic, international business aviation environment.
  • Help shape the next chapter of an ambitious, independent European MRO.
  • Make a visible difference to our people, our customers and our business performance.
  • Count on the support of an experienced Maintenance Manager and leadership team, combined with the autonomy to make things happen.

‍

What We Offer

‍

  • A key role in a growing, international MRO organisation, with real authority and real responsibility at one of Europe’s most efficient airports.
  • Direct impact on the quality and efficiency of the operation at Amsterdam Schiphol.
  • A competitive salary that matches the level of responsibility.
  • Room for personal and professional development through internal training programmes and the JetSupport knowledge network.
  • A direct, open culture with short lines to management.
