Aircraft That Fly Real Missions.
At Schiphol we maintain turboprop special mission aircraft, such as the Dornier 328. As a Licensed B2 Technician you are responsible for the avionics and electrical systems of these aircraft, including the mission equipment that makes them what they are.
You certify, solve complex system faults and make sure every aircraft is ready for its next mission. You report to the Operations Manager EHAM.
What You’ll Do
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on avionics, electrical and instrument systems of turboprop special mission aircraft.
- Maintain, test and troubleshoot mission equipment, such as maritime surveillance radar, EO/IR sensor systems, mission consoles, and communication and data link systems.
- Issue Certificates of Release to Service within the scope of your Part-66 licence and company authorisation.
- Diagnose complex faults across aircraft and mission systems, and work with engineering, OEMs and the operator to resolve them.
- Record all work accurately in our maintenance system and technical records, in line with Part-145 procedures.
- Support AOG situations to return aircraft to mission readiness as quickly and safely as possible.
- Share knowledge with and coach less experienced technicians.
What You Bring
- EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence Category B2; a B1.1 licence is an advantage.
- Proven experience as a licensed B2 technician on turboprop aircraft.
- Type experience on the Dornier 328 or comparable turboprop aircraft.
- Hands-on experience with special mission avionics or mission systems.
- English at C1 level.
- Willingness to work a rotating roster: two weeks day shift and one week evening shift, plus one weekend every five weeks.
- Ability to obtain a Schiphol pass, including VGB (Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) background screening.
What We Offer
- Technically challenging work on aircraft that fly real missions.
- Employment conditions in line with the Metalektro collective labour agreement (CAO).
