Safe. Compliant. Ready for Work.
At JetSupport, our technicians keep business jets airworthy around the clock. That only works if the hangar, workshops and offices around them work too.
The Role
As (Junior) Facility Manager you keep our Schiphol hangar, workshops and offices safe, compliant and ready for work. You plan and coordinate maintenance of building installations, manage contractors on site and keep facility records ready for audit. You work closely with Operations, CM&S and Stores.
This is an on-site role at Amsterdam Schiphol.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and track preventive maintenance of hangar doors, HVAC, compressed air, lighting, and fire detection and suppression systems.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors on site, including permits to work, safety rules and Schiphol access arrangements.
- Log facility defects, raise work orders and follow them up until closed.
- Keep inspection and certification records current (NEN 3140, fire safety installations, pressure equipment) and ready for EASA, authority and insurer audits.
- Check that hangar conditions meet Part-145 requirements for lighting, temperature and cleanliness, and escalate deviations to CM&S.
- Manage waste streams, including hazardous waste such as oils, hydraulic fluids and chemicals, in line with permits and procedures.
- Coordinate office facilities: workplaces, cleaning, catering and relocations.
- Support the BHV organisation and emergency drills.
- Request quotes and prepare purchase requests for approval by your manager.
- Perform small repairs and maintenance tasks yourself.
What You Bring
- MBO 4 or HBO level of knowledge in Facility Management, Building Services or a technical discipline.
- 0–3 years’ experience in facility, building or technical maintenance coordination; experience in an industrial, airport or hangar environment is a plus.
- Fluent in Dutch and good English, written and spoken.
- Ability to obtain a Schiphol pass, including VGB (Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) background screening.
- Driving licence B.
- Hands-on and organised, and confident enough to tell a contractor when work isn’t up to standard.
- BHV, VCA-VOL or NEN 3140 knowledge is an advantage.
What We Offer
- Real ownership in a growing international MRO organisation.
- Training towards BHV and Prevention Employee certification.
- A hands-on workplace at Schiphol, surrounded by business jets.
- Pension scheme and profit sharing.
- Extra holiday days.
- Travel allowance and a company phone.
- Friday afternoon drinks and a Christmas hamper.
