In the first week of January 2025, Ton van Deursen and Pieter Voeten, in their roles as CEOs of JetSupport and NL EASP AIR, signed a multi-year contract for the maintenance of sensors, mission systems, and Base Maintenance activities for the fleet of three NL EASP AIR Dornier DO328-100 Special Mission Aircraft.

Pieter Voeten: “Behind the scenes, Ton and JetSupport have always been there for us, offering support and assistance. This collaboration has been in the making for a long time, so it’s great to finally formalize it. I am thrilled that we’ve reached this point, and it’s fantastic to witness the dedication and commitment of JetSupport’s engineers. The first major task was undertaken in the very first week of January, which gives us great confidence moving forward.”

Ton van Deursen: “JetSupport is delighted to welcome NL EASP AIR as a new client. This partnership also provides us with the opportunity to refresh and enhance our expertise on the Dornier 328. Moreover, the role these aircraft play in safeguarding and ensuring the security of Europe’s borders is a mission we are proud to support.”

After this initial maintenance run at Schiphol, one of the DO328 aircraft will be flown directly back to Italy to resume ongoing operations in the Ionian Sea. These operations are expected to continue for several months

The second DO328 will undergo further modifications at the OEM Deutsche Aircraft facility in Oberpfaffenhofen and will then be deployed for Search and Rescue (SAR) and Maritime Patrol operations. Meanwhile, the third DO328 is currently in operation from Heraklion, conducting missions that include SAR flights as well as monitoring violations of the current oil embargo on Russia.
